Matala – April 2006

The town of Matala is built around a hydro-electric scheme on the Kunene river.	One of the informal markets in Matala.
The Assemblies of God church where we did the training.	Pieter training pastors from 10 different churches to use the Heart of Man as a tool during home to home evangelism.
Lunch time during the workshop – the local people looked very well after us.	Some of the participants with their new Heart of Man workbooks.
Showing the Passion Movie at the big praza (market). Many people responded.	Some of those who came forward to receive Jesus.
We also used the data projector and laptop to show the Heart of Man pictures to the crowd at night.	On the way to try to find Jose’s parents house we got stuck in the middel of nowhere. In the end we got the Mazda out without the trailer – the guys then had to push/pull the trailer out. Everyone was full of mud and very tired when we got out after a few hours.
When we finally found the house it was after 20:00 but the people still wanted to see the Passion – more than a hundred people appeared out of the bush.	Jose’s family. It was his first time at their new homestead – the last time he saw them in 2000 they stayed about 50km to the south.
